Business Development Manager

About Lalemant Trucking

Lalemant Trucking, part of the maritime group Lalemant (established in 1885) with headquarters in Ghent (BE) and subsidiaries all over Europe, is looking for an international  business development manager for development of the German or Ukrainian market.

Responsibilities

  • Searching new potential clients in the mentioned countries and starting to build a long term cooperation with them.
  • Maintaining and further developing existing customer relations in the mentioned countries.
  • Keep good relations with subcontractors (transport companies, freight forwarders, etc.)
  • Report directly to the general management at the headquarters in Belgium.

Skills

  • +/- 5 to 10 years’ experience in a relevant international sales role in an industrial environment
  • Experience in transport & logistics (trucking by tipping truck, tilt trailer, coil trailer and reefer trucks)
  • Experience in high-level price & contract negotiations with clients (decision makers) and subcontractors
  • Preferably able to communicate in mother tongue of the mentioned country. Fluent in English.
  • Taking initiative and acting proactively in a fast-moving logistic environment
  • Working autonomously, set targets and develop transport markets with result and added value
  • Willing to travel in the above mentioned region
